Bolton Street Chambers is a modern chambers established in April 2024 as a collective of specialised barristers in personal legal services.
Our barristers bring metropolitan-level experience and expertise to Newcastle and the regions while also regularly being sought to appear nationally.

Bolton Street Chambers is home to a collective of skilled barristers committed to tailored, people-focused advocacy.
With experience across specialist practice areas, our members share knowledge and insights to deliver premium service for clients based across a broad geographical area. All of our barristers specialise in Family Law and appear at trial and appellate levels in the Federal Court and Family Court of Australia at registries throughout the country.
While our barristers are based in Newcastle and service clients in that area together with the Hunter Valley and Lake Macquarie areas, our barristers have statewide, interstate and international-based clientele.
Some of our barristers also have civil and criminal law practices and appear within those jurisdictions throughout New South Wales.
MEDIATION & ARBITRATION
Alternative dispute resolution is an increasingly important part of modern legal practice. Mediation and arbitration provide opportunities for parties to resolve disputes without the cost, delay, and uncertainty of litigation.
At Bolton Street Chambers, our barristers act as advocates in mediations and arbitrations, and some members are also accredited mediators and arbitrators available to either facilitate resolution or hear and determine financial proceedings in their own right. Our barristers who are qualified in that respect are available on both local and national levels, in person or via remote audio visual means.
